Y&T’s Aaron Leigh – EP145

In today’s episode, we catch up with Y&T’s bassist Aaron Leigh as he makes his debut on the podcast. We get his Growin’ Up Rock story, and a few interesting facts about Aaron’s journey to becoming the musician he is today.

Aaron’s Bio

Aaron Leigh stepped in to the role of Y&T bassist in April 2016.

As a kid in San Jose, California, Aaron grew up idolizing Phil Kennemore. His first Y&T album was Black Tiger, and he would listen to the music and stare at Phil on that classic album cover, dreaming of being just like Phil some day. Dreams do come true.

Aaron is most known as the bassist for the Frank Hannon Band (Tesla’s guitarist). But he’s also jammed with some of the top names in rock—from Steve Vai, Jani Lane, and Mike Tramp, to Gary Hoey, Joel Hoekstra, Brad Gillis, and many more.

Not only is Aaron an accomplished bassist and vocalist, but he is also a noted studio engineer and producer. He has mixed and/or produced albums for a multitude of artists, including American Idol’s James Durbin (Riot on Sunset), Tesla guitarist Frank Hannon Band (World Peace), and Eyes of One (Beneath the Truth).

Aaron currently tours the world with Y&T. – ***Taken from the Y&T website****

  1. Great interview. Aaron doesn’t do many of these. His live stream about a week ago was cool too.

  2. A very, very Nice Podcast. I really enjoyed it.
And you guys are so right. I am into the Y&T fanbase since the Eartshaker album. So I’ve seen Y&T quite a several times in Holland. They always deliver! Even last year in Zoetermeer. Again a great show.
Keep up the good work with your Podcasts. Stay smart en be safe in these strange times. Greetz from The Netherlands, Europe.
