Van Halen 5150 Album Review – EP212

We invite our friend BB from the Podder Than Hell Podcast to move into the Van Hagar era of Van Halen and review the album 5150.

A Little Bit about Van Halen’s 5150:

5150 was Van Halen’s seventh studio album released in March 1986. It was the band’s first album with new lead singer Sammy Hagar. Sammy replaced the departed David Lee Roth who moved on to a solo career and, depending on who you believe, Dave either quit the band or was fired. Sammy, who already had a career going back to 1973 as the lead singer for Montrose, and later on was a solo artist before joining Van Halen. The album 5150 went on to sell 6 million copies and was the band’s first number one album.

Each month in 2021, we will invite a special guest on the show to do a album review for each of the 12 Van Halen studio albums. In December, we will release the final album review and a episode where we rank all 12 of those albums. We hope you will join us each month and enjoy these episodes as much as we enjoy putting them together for you.
