Sons Of Apollo Interview w/ Jeff Scott Soto – EP033

On this episode of Growin’ Up Rock, we sit down with Sons of Apollo vocalist Jeff Scott Soto. The interview takes a walk through some of the less talked about parts of Jeff’s career. We find out how co-host Sonny Pooni’s Musical Man Crush started his musical journey in life. And we hear how Jeff may have almost become Queen’s new singer. We get into his current role with Sons of Apollo, and discover how he maintains his individual identity in a band of superstar instrumentalists.

What’s the Story?

Supergroup Sons Of Apollo vocalist Jeff Scott Soto has embraced his artistry and explored the many genres of  music that make him happy. Being able to be creative in so many different genres has made Jeff a go-to singer for many artists and producers, and shows just how well-rounded a musician Jeff Scott Soto is. He might have gone on to be the permanent replacement singer for Steve Perry in Journey, or perhaps even the new singer in Queen replacing the legendary Freddie Mercury, but then he would have felt trapped in a box, performing songs he loves, but someone else created. Instead, his path gives him the creative outlet he craves as an artist, being able to share his gift of melody and hooks with the world.
