Growing up, I used to depend on the “Best Of” lists from Kerrang Magazine, Hit Parader, Circus, and Creem just so that I could discover new killer hard rock and metal bands. Now in 2017, we have podcasts, where people like Sonny and I can get together to talk about and play the bands that had us cranking the volume up to eleven.

In the Part 1 episode of our favorites from 2017, we gave you some hard rock and metal releases of 2017 that we absolutely loved, ranking them 10 thru 6.

Now that we got the bottom, and still awesome, half out of the way, we charge forward to the end of the year with our top 5 releases. It will come as no surprise that Hollywood and Steve O have picked a plethora of kick ass rock n roll to play and talk about.

Because music is not the only thing in our lives for 2017, we also talk about other things that had an effect on us for the year.
