Celebrating 20 years of Rockstar The Movie – EP194

This week, we are celebrating 20 years of Rockstar the movie. We discuss and go through our thoughts for the movie, but more importantly we go through the killer soundtrack, including the tunes written for the fictional band Steel Dragon.

Released just days before 9/11, this movie never really had a chance. Over the years this movie has been beaten down in the rock community, but still has become somewhat of a cult classic among rockers. The movie was rumored to have been based on the band Judas Priest, but that has been shot down numerous times by the band themselves.

Rockstar is a fun rock n roll movie with a great soundtrack. Don’t overthink it and just enjoy it for what it is.
