We invite our friend Phil Shouse from Accept & The Ace Frehley Band to review the Van Halen album A Different Kind Of Truth. It’s the bands 12th and final studio album. This album marks the return on record with Van Halen for singer David Lee Roth after a 25 plus years away from the band.
A Little about A Different Kind Of Truth
A Different Kind Of Truth is the 12th and final studio album for Van Halen. It marks the return of singer David Lee Roth to the band and would be the first time he has recorded with the band since 1984 (not including the two new songs they recorded on the Greatest Hits record released in 1996). The band was inspired and pushed by guitarist Ed Van Halen’ son Wolf Van Halen to revisit some of the bands old demos and complete the songs. This is also the first studio album to not include original bass player Michael Anthony, but instead feature new bass player Wolf Van Halen.
