When you talk about influential classic rock bands of the 70’s and 80’s, you would be hard pressed not to mention one of the greatest of all time, Queen. A completely ground-breaking rock band, they had songwriting talent all around, plus an iconic singer in Freddie Mercury and an amazing guitar player in Brian May. Queen broke all boundaries of what a rock band should look and sound like. Influencing bands like Guns and Roses, Metallica, Extreme and many others along the way.
There are so many different textures and moods to Queen’s music, it’s almost doing a disservice to them to lump the songs under one umbrella of Rock n Roll, but at the heart of their music beats a well-oiled Rock n Roll machine.
