I catch up with House of Lords frontman James Christian to discuss the bands newest release “New World – New Eyes.” I also touch on some of his history with the band.
House Of Lords Bio
House of Lords was formed in 1987 by former Angel member and keyboardist Gregg Giuffria after his solo project Giuffria. After listening to demos – originally intended for Giuffria’s third record – a record deal with Gene Simmons‘ company Simmons Records was agreed upon, on two conditions that the band’s name be changed (to House of Lords) and a new lead singer recruited (firing David Glen Eisley in the process). James Christian thus replaced Eisley, after Christian was suggested by ex-Giuffria and Quiet Riot bassist Chuck Wright, after having worked together in L.A. Rocks. – (Wiki)
“New World – New Eyes” is House Of Lords’ tenth studio album, following the well received release “Saint of the Lost Souls.” Recorded and produced by the band’s singer and mastermind, James Christian, this collection of songs has an incredible flow of up-tempo and mid-tempo rockers mixed with power ballads, which lean a bit more toward keyboards this time around, but without compromising the band’s trademark sound, which is based around Jimi Bell’s guitar work.
