This week, we are joined by special guest, author Greg Renoff, to review the fifth studio album from the mighty Van Halen, “Diver Down.” Diver Down was released in 1982, and is somewhat of a controversial release from the band primarily due to over half the record being dedicated to cover songs.
Who Is Greg Renoff?
Greg Renoff is the author of “Van Halen Rising”, covering the bands early days before they secured their record deal, and most recently Ted Templeman “A Platinum Producers Life”, which is biography highlighting the career of Van Halen producer Ted Templeman.
Each month in 2021, we will invite a special guest on the show to do a album review for each of the 12 Van Halen studio albums. In December we will release the final album review and a episode where we rank all 12 of those albums. We hope you will join us each month and enjoy these episodes as much as we enjoy putting them together for you.
