Episode Description:
The term “Desert Island Albums” is used often on Growin’ Up Rock. When we use the term, we are talking about albums that start to finish are awesome musical masterpieces in our 16 year old minds. In this episode, we each pick one of those desert island albums to discuss start to finish.
What’s The Story?
Throughout every music fan’s life, there are albums that seem to connect with them. They are special works of music and from the first track to the last track they are perfect in everyway. Everyone knows about albums like Bon Jovi’s “Slippery When Wet” or Van Halen’s Debut, but what about the albums that are more of a personal opinion? Sonny and I use the term “Desert Island Albums” all the time on the show. We ask our guest to name some of theirs and we often reference many of ours. In what we are sure will become an ongoing series, we will each explore one of our “Desert Island Albums” in each episode. In this first installment, we explore albums from LA Sunstrip rockers Ratt and The Red Rocker himself Sammy Hagar.
