It’s time to Crank It Up once again in this episode of Have You Heard? This week, we are turning you on to four newer bands in the hopes to give them more exposure and give you the listeners a new band to binge and love. As part of this episode we jump on an international Skype call with Hell’s Addiction guitarist Liam Sargent, bassist Jason Green, and guitarist Dan Weir, to talk about the band coming together, getting the chance to play The Download Festival, and the latest EP release V1.

Hailed as the bastard child of a illicit three-way between Skid Row, early-Guns N’ Roses and AC/DC, the Leicester, United Kingdom based quintet HELL’S ADDICTION are here to fuck your world up … and make you come crawling back for more.
Wandering into each others’ lives in July of 2010 when bassist Jason Green contacted guitarist Liam Sargent about putting a band together. In the blink of an eye, Sargent had pulled his brother and singer Ben and drummer Luke Morley onboard. Later, the band added second guitarist Dan Weir to complete the lineup and the band was off and running.
Their current EP, V1.0, was tracked at Axis Studios in Doncaster, England and recorded by Matt Elliss. Upon release, the EP smashed it’s way into various UK charts including #7 on iTunes UK charts, #2 Amazon UK chart and the top of the heap, #1 at Hot New Release and Digital Download Amazon UK. The band had truly arrived.

I was just catching up on some episodes and realized that a lot of the podcasts do trivia type episodes. I lOVE THEM! It breaks up the usual rock talk with something different and allows us listeners to play along. I especially like that each podcast does a slightly different trivia which keeps me interested. There is a reason why Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and The Price is Right has lasted so long on network TV. People love that stuff. I say make it a monthly or every couple of month type of reoccurring episode. Seems like a lot of work for whomever is coming up with the questions, but this listener says it is worth it!
