On this volume of Hollywood’s Wild Hair, he goes from doing a solo episode to making it a family affair and being joined by his beautiful 17-year-old daughter, Giana. The idea is to get a teenager’s view of where rock stands today, play some killer music and basically make you laugh a little.
Although the original Wild Hair idea was to do solo episodes, there is something about adding an interesting guest to the mix. Giana is an intelligent teenager who doesn’t hold back her feelings about music, the environment, drummers and bassists, hot chocolate and a host of other topics. Hollywood and Giana have that special father/daughter bond and it comes out when they are sharing stories of Growin’ Up Rock while playing some killer songs by AC/DC, Foreigner, Bruno Mars, Poison, Triumph, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen and many more. When was the last time you heard a young persons’ view of the music we ALL love??….and they even give The Godfather a call. Enjoy!!

Having met Giana I had no doubt that she would do well. I love that she is outspoken and she is hilarious. That Restrained song they picked is awesome.
The Stranded song was very prom like, loved it. If Halestorm breaks up, I’m blaming Hollywood but a Lzzy solo album wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Excellent job as always.
Loved the flow of the conversation. It not only allowed me to get to know the interviewee by connected to the music they were playing. Impressive kid, I’m sure she will have a lot of success in life. This episode was as good or even better than the Sonny/Tony wild hair.

I love that Sonny’s daughter called him out on Kiss starting the whole paint your face/hide your face thing. Hilarious. Also, I saw that you guys put up a poll today asking if playing the full song is important. My take, either play the full song or no song at all. A little taste is aggravating. For the folks who skip the music, they will skip whether you play full or partial. It won’t matter.
This episode had me laughing from the intro. The topics and flow were outstanding. If you are going to have long episodes, they need to be as good as this one. EXCELLENT!
