Episode Description:
Steven and Sonny took in a bunch of concerts including Michael Schenker Fest, Sammy Hagar and The Circle, and Dennis DeYoung. They share some stories, give their reviews and play some great tunes in this bonus episode.
What’s The Story?
Sonny and Steven went on a concert binge and saw several shows in the last few days, so they figured, why not give their review, share some stories and play some kick ass music. Steven took in Michael Schenker Fest and Dennis DeYoung, while Hollywood satisfied his man crush and attended Sammy Hagar and The Circle.

Just to finished the Schenker fest podcast. Glad to hear it was a good show.
Mike is an odd duck. Does not surprise me with him starting the show with news. Ted was part of his band for awhile and so was Paul Raymond. Paul and Mike were in UFO together and Paul also played in the early days of MSG.
I am a big Gary Barden fan, so I am more partial to that era. The 2nd MSG album is probably my favorite hard rock release of the 80’s.
I like Graham, but I get what Sonny was saying. When Graham is not forcing/yelling his vocals he is pretty good.
Robin is always solid, and still has the vocal chops no doubt.
Doogie White sang on Blackmores Rainbow 1995 release Stranger In Us All. Good singer, but more “hammy” than porky pig convention.
I like the idea of having all the vocalists, but the quality of the studio stuff is average to sub par at best. The new song is dreadful and the prior is very pedistrian. Mike is collaborating with Michael Voss and I believe they are writing the music with no input from the vocalists. That’s a mistake. The songs are very generic formulatic b level cliched 80’s sounding leftovers. I think it could be much better than what is being presented.
Glad to hear you dig the MSG Budokan release. That line up with Barden,Glen,Powell, and Raymond was very strong.
Even though these are UFO songs, this is a young hard rock band kicking some serious tail!!!!
Lights out

It you ever want to talk Ufo,MSG,Rainbow,Deep purple on your show I am more than open. I am a HUGE,MASSIVE fan of all those bands.
Thanks again for the great work you and Sonny do.
Thanks for listening. I love that you know so much about Schenker. Clearly you know your shit.
Here is a link to an I interview with Dennis De Young that Mitch Lafon did about a year ago. Go to the 26:00min mark and he talks about why he is not in Styx and the whole drama behind it. It’s a long but an interesting listen. He is kinda kooky. I will have to look up some of his dance moves you talked about!
Sorry,here is the link
